Black & White Version of "Logan" Hits Theatres Soon

James Mangold is pushing the black and white version of Logan to U.S. domestic theatres for one night only on May 16th. But don't worry, if you can't catch it, both versions will be available on the Blu-Ray/DVD release.

Mangold was inspired to do a noir version after the great feedback he received from fans after posting monochromatic photos from set on his Instagram:
“It caused such an extreme reaction, and so much appreciation for these pictures, and then people immediately [were] wondering if the film itself was going to be in black and white, and so we are giving it a whirl”

It's not as easy as it might seem, as one person tried to ask on Twitter, "Can't I just turn down the colors on my TV for the same effect?" Mangold stated, "“To make a great B&W version of a film, the whole thing’s gotta be regraded & timed shot by shot.”

“Logan” has secured $604 million worldwide. $223 million domestically.

The Blu-Ray will see a May 23rd release.
