George Lucas Shared His Thoughts On "The Force Awakens"

George Lucas recently sat down with USA Today to talk about the new Star wars film where he shared that he had plans to develop the Episode VII himself and release it on May 2015 before selling the company to Disney.

He went on to say:

“It’s better for me to get out at the beginning of a new thing and I can just remove myself….The time is more important to me than the money.”

Lucas expressed that he wished he could have see and experienced the movies the way everyone else did:

“The only thing I really regret about Star Wars is the fact I never got to see it — I never got to be blown out of my seat when the ship came over the screen. The next one, I’ll be able to enjoy it like anybody else.”

Enjoy or loathe like anybody else... haha. Just kidding.

It will be interesting to see if the series can hold up under the big mouse himself. At least we wont get a million remastered cuts with infuriating, useless digital animations stuffed randomly here and there.

Get ready for blasters, lightsaber hums and a whole lot of wind instruments.
